2011 Wrap up

January:
  • I welcomed 2011 with an ear infection and strep throat.
  • Warren suffered a seizure and spent the night at PCH. That was the scariest moment in my life, especially when they had to transport him via ambulance to PCH. It ended up being an un-diagnose seizure disorder. He had one more that month.
  • Celebrated our 3 year anniversary at La Caille
  • Back to PCH with max this time for a severe MRSA infection on his arm. It started as a pimple that erupted into ER surgery and a 2 night stay at the hospital.

    February:
    • 55 degrees in SLC on our way to Island Park.
    • Island Park: 10 feet of snow and barely 30 degrees.
    • Warren broke my nose while at Island Park, with a well placed head butt.

    March:
    • Jeff's 34th birthday!
    • I gave up Diet Coke for lent and made it all 40 days!
    April:
    • Max's 1st birthday & a construction party!
    • 72 degrees and then a blizzard!
    • Max has a double ear infection & croup.
    • Max had surgery to put tubes in his ears.
    May:
    • Warren had a ruptured ear drum
    • Warren kept saying his "circle is broken"
    • Warren started calling things "fancy" (curly hair, cursive writing)
    • Warren "graduated" from daycare!
    • I ended up in the hospital for 3 days with Acute Pancreatitis. Boo.

    June:
    • The whole family went on a trip to Ohio.
    • The boys were baptized.
    • Cuervo turned 5.
    • I turned done a FT Benefits Manager job at SOS Staffing to stay with Big-D.

    July:
    • Max's 15th month appointment: 75% across the board.
    • Warren's quote of the month "my eyebrows are angry!"
    • The 4th of July was a mixed bag. Annual picnic at Cottonwood Park, rainy afternoon, parade and festival at Sandy City Hall and then a meltdown before fireworks.
    • Another Warren quote (while walking out of Target an seeing a rainbow) "Oh, mommy look a beautiful rainbow! Oh, rainbow how I have missed you!"
    • Cuervo went missing for 15 hours. He took off while we were setting up our garage sale and was brought back the next morning after someone saw our sign!

    August:
    • Warren told me his phone number was " four, eyebrow, poop. Go ahead and call it momma"
    • My newest nephew, Ezra Jay, was born!
    • Max was diagnosed (after a scary episode) with allergies to shellfish, hay, alfalfa and horses.
    • First football game of the season in 95 degree weather, we won.
    • We got rear-ended in the van causing over $7000 in damage!
    • I celebrated my 37th birthday!

    September:
    • Warren quote of the century (after pooping on the floor, again) ME: "Warren we do not poop on the floor, you are not a dog" WARREN: "momma, I'm not a kitty either"
    • Max's has a new obsession with edemame. He will eat tons.
    • More football, football and football.
    • The boys and I spent a lot of days to the park, mostly Wheeler Farm, due to the Indian Summer.

    October:
    • Warren's 3rd birthday! We celebrated with a "under the sea" party!
    • Me and the boys came down with the Crypto virus from swimming at the local rec center. 3 weeks of stomach issues, closed up October with a bang.
    • More football.
    • Halloween came with the annual trick or treat party at the Holdaway's. Warren was a monkey an Max was a bear. They love trick or treat, hated the costumes.
    • Football is over, finally, after a loss to Logan in the regional play-offs.

    November:
    • I started off the month with surgery on my shoulder. I had the AC joint "cleaned up". Christ on a cracker that hurt, recover took most of the month.
    • Warren quote (upon coming down the stairs from his nap) "Momma, I am coming downstairs and my penis is too!"
    • Thanksgiving was celebrated at the Wilson's with a big family dinner.
    • We moved Max to his "big boy bed" and then back to his crib in 2 nights. I blame the ear infections.
    December:
    • Getting ready for Christmas!
    • We visited Santa at the Gateway, fail. We saw Santa at Chik-Fil-A, fail. We saw Santa at Zoo Lights, double fail.
    • We went to Zoo Lights in 12 degree weather, the boys loved it. Max refuses to wear gloves but he did not complain at all until we had to get off the merry-go-round.
    • We also went to see the Lights at Temple Square and ha the BEST hot chocolate afterwards at Hatch Family Chocolates.
    • Christmas was wonderful. The boys were over the moon with excitement and Warren finally grasped the Santa concept.
    • For the annual Christmas Eve dinner at the Wilson's we had side dish and dessert. I made a pear brulee tart which was an epic fail. Jeff made fancy mac and cheese.
